Changes the way the Close Tab buttons are displayed
Compatibility

Works with: Firefox 3.6+
Background
The default behavior for the ‘close tab’ button is to have a button on every tab. This not only shortens the amount of the page title displayed on the tab, but can lead to accidental tab closing while switching between tabs.
The Tweak
The settings for the ‘close tab’ buttons can easily be adjusted by changing an about:config entry. In a new tab enter about:config in the address bar and press enter. Filter for browser.tabs.closeButtons then double-click on the entry. Change the value to the desired behavior:
- 0 - Display a close button on the active tab only
- 1 - Display a close button on each tab (default)
- 2 - Don’t display any close buttons
- 3 - Display a single close button at the end of the tab bar (Firefox 1.x behavior)
Notes
If ’3′ is selected the location of the close tab button will be affected by the location of the Moving/Removing The List All Tabs Button.
