Displays the full URL in the address bar.
Compatibility

Works with: Firefox 7.0+
Background
In Firefox 7, URLs are ‘trimmed’, removing the leading ‘http;//’ and the trailing ‘/’ at end of the address. By default in Firefox 7, the address of the Wiki would be displayed as ffextensionguru.com/wiki/ instead of http://ffextensionguru.com/wiki/
The Tweak
It is possible to display the entire URL with a simple about:config tweak:
- In a new tab past & go about:config
- If needed, click the I’ll be careful, I promise button
- Filter for browser.urlbar.trimURLs
- Double-click the entry to change to value to false
- Close the tab
Notes
Secure sites such as Mozilla’s Bugzilla, will still display the https:// in the address bar, but will also still omit the trailing / at the end of the address.
